The Suns group is the middle age group at The English Nursery. Currently, we have children in the group from 4 yrs to 5 yrs. As with all of our nursery groups, we have excellent teacher-child ratios. The group sizes throughout The English Nursery are very small as we believe that keeping a personal approach to a child's education is extremely important to the child and to the parents. This is something we are very proud of and believe allows our children to feel safe, valued and excited.
All of our children take part in social learning activities; learning through songs, dance, music, story time and exploration with our outside learning days. The children in this group are beginning to explore the wider world and experience the print environment much more. We explore letter sounds and encourage a love of stories and books. Parents are welcome to borrow some of our excellent picture and first word story time books to share with their children each week. The day is busy and full of friendship and excitement. The children in Planets have lunch and play time where many more opportunities to develop socially occur. After this, the learning journey continues until snack time at 15:00 and then home time any time their parents wish to collect them.
We first opened our doors at ** The English Nursery** in 2009; we are supported by the Tanto International School which was founded in 1983. Our nursery school has an English profile. The English Nursery accepts children from 1-5 years old. We have 30 places available which allows us to create a positive 'family' feel for all our children and parents. The Nursery is organised into 3 small groups in order to give our children a greater sense of security. We take pride in our great relationships with children and parents. The English Nursery has a staff to pupil ratio of 1:6 which enables us to offer the best care for all our children. When children finish the nursery, many children make the smooth transition to The Tanto International School, which caters for children aged 6-12 (Year 2-7).
